Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight voice is one of the most talked-about parts of the new Disney Plus MCU series trailer, with fans divided about what the accent and location mean for the character of Marc Spector/Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac). The first Moon Knight trailer teased a lot for the series, including the release date reveal, and more could be going on, Could the Moon Knight accent the actor is putting on be part of a dream or his disorder?
What is Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight voice about?
The first Moon Knight trailer is finally here, giving the first look at the next Marvel Cinematic Universe series on Disney Plus after Hawkeye and confirming the series release date as March 30 — far earlier than anyone expected especially as Ms. Marvel was the only Marvel series with an approximate release, and that’s summer.
The trailer shows British museum employee Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac) having trouble discerning dreams from reality, which is only made worse when the Egyptian god Khonshu gives him the powers of the Moon Knight and people start thinking he’s actually someone named Marc Spector. It’s all very weird, but the weirdest part is Isaac’s accent. Isaac is Guatemalan-American but is doing a faux-British accent that stands out.
what is this Oscar Isaac Moon Knight voice
anyway, reminds me of something that looks more like a Netflix-era Marvel show, which I think is a good thing before they all get too same-yhttps://t.co/ESYGoAMW12

Some fans just outright hate the voice, as it’s not only ill-suited for the character — Moon Knight is American in Marvel comics — but it’s also obviously not Isaac’s real accent.
I need people in my life to lie to me the way the Moon Knight team told Oscar Isaac he could pull off that voice

Of course, the other possibility that fans have deduced is that the faux-British accent and UK setting is actually another part of the dream and a misdirect on behalf of Marvel — so that the series is actually set in the US, Steven/Marc isn’t really British, and at some point Oscar Isaac will drop the attempt at an accent and speak like a normal person again. Hopefully.
The Internet is going to collectively pop when Oscar Isaac uses his real voice for the first time in Moon Knight instead of his hilarious faux-British Kingsman accent.
