With the arrival of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 8 on Disney Plus, came the long-awaited debut of none other than Daredevil, aka Matt Murdock, in the Marvel series. His appearance has been teased since before the show even began, and after an Easter Egg dropped in She-Hulk episode 5, his inclusion has been a long time coming. Here’s how the character made an impression, and how the reactions from fans played out on social media.
How She-Hulk episode 8 introduced Daredevil to viewers
When She-Hulk’s penultimate episode started, it seemed as though it would be another light-hearted affair. Jen was asked to represent Leap-Frog in a legal battle against her own tailor, Luke Jacobson, who was accused of creating a shoddy outfit that malfunctioned and caused the wannabe superhero to become injured. It was the arrival of Jacobson’s own lawyer, however, that had everybody talking.
While their courtroom battle came to a swift end, Jen and Matt’s paths would continue to cross. They spoke to one another at a bar, before coming to blows as their superhero counterparts, both fighting for what they believed to be the moral good. In the end, the pair would enjoy a healthy dose of flirtatious banter, before working together to rescue Jacobson from Leap-Frog’s clutches, who had kidnapped him and put him to work making a new suit.
Though their styles are very different, Jen and Matt would find some mutual ground. It’s a friendship that quickly blossomed into a night of passion, and we even got to see Daredevil doing the walk of shame the morning after from Jen’s apartment. This, of course, had everybody watching at home punching the air in delight. It would be fair to say that the vast majority of fans think that this was a cameo worth waiting for.
Whether or not Daredevil will appear in the She-Hulk finale remains to be seen. It was pretty clear that he was headed home after his fling with Jen in episode 8, but now that she herself is in trouble with the law, she could do with a mighty fine attorney by her side. We can think of nobody better than The Man Without Fear.
