Multiple new The Batman 2022 leaks have appeared in the wake of a Japanese trailer that dropped last night with new footage, dialogue, and music. It’s not quite The Batman trailer 3 as it’s mostly taken from the previous trailers but the new moments do hint at major spoilers regarding three of Batman’s villains. Apart from a big revelation about The Riddler, is there also a strong tease of a The Batman Joker cameo?

All major The Batman 2022 leaks suggested by new trailer
Here are all the villain rumors regarding The Batman that have seemingly been confirmed or at least hinted at in the new Japanese trailer:
THE JOKER
Back in November, Barry Keoghan (Druig in Eternals) was rumored to be playing The Joker in The Batman thanks to the actor’s brother posting about it on social media. Since then there have been further rumors backing up this spoiler, including just this weekend where The Hollywood Reporter noted that Warner Bros was supposedly deciding between two cuts of The Batman — specifically with or without Barry Keoghan, suggesting a major secret role.
Now eagle-eyed fans examining the new trailer’s shot of Riddler’s conspiracy board (above) spotted a very sinister smile hiding behind a shot of Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) that can only be a hint towards The Joker. If that’s not enough, the first line of the trailer in Japanese specifically mentions “The Joker” — it’s the same in both Japanese and English, and GameRevolution put it through a number of translation programs to confirm this as something like “The Joker crashes the beginning.”

THE RIDDLER KNOWS BATMAN’S SECRET
Fans have long surmised since the first teaser trailer that the main villain The Riddler (Paul Dano) may know that Batman is Bruce Wayne and has a grudge against the Wayne family. The new trailer seemingly confirms this. Aside from the board above with a young Paul Dano watching the Waynes, Riddler also teases that he’s “here to unmask the truth about this city,” views Bruce Wayne from the gallery during the funeral seen in the first trailer, and most notably — “I’ve been trying to reach you… Bruce Wayne.”
THE MAD HATTER
It has also been rumored that major Batman villain Jervis Tetch/Mad Hatter may make an appearance too, starting as a drug dealer. The character appeared in the Batman Arkham series but hasn’t been seen in live-action since the ’60s Batman TV series. It’s even been rumored that this may actually be Barry Keoghan’s secret role, not The Joker. While it’s not Barry Keoghan and the character isn’t wearing a hat, this creepy-looking individual on the left seen in the trailer could well be an important drug dealer who obviously is big enough to have a part in the plot.
