The Blade MCU reboot release date has been accidentally leaked by the Marvel India Twitter feed, so fans now seemingly know exactly when to expect the latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If accurate, this means that a Blade Disney Plus or theatrical release could be coming sooner rather than later.
Is there a Blade 2022 Disney Plus release date?
The Blade reboot’s Disney Plus release date will be on October 7, 2022, or possibly November 21, 2022, according to the big leak from the Marvel India Twitter account.
If the release slate is accurate then this October 2022 date is definitely at least for the MCU Blade’s theatrical release, but the Disney Plus release entirely depends on whether Marvel Studios wants to release Blade on the streaming platform day and date with the one in theaters. They did this with Black Widow, but the most recent Marvel movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings went to theaters first and still hasn’t appeared on Disney Plus. If Blade follows the same release pattern as Shang-Chi, then it will launch on Disney Plus around 45 days after October 7, 2022, which would be November 21, 2022.

There is reason to believe, however, that this release date may not be accurate. Filming for the Blade reboot — which stars Mahershala Ali as the titular vampire hunter — doesn’t begin until July 2022, so a release just three months afterward seems a little optimistic. October 7 may have been the original release date before filming was delayed due to the studio not wanting to rush the project — which is exactly what would happen if it comes out a year from now. Fans will just have to wait and see.
The next MCU movie is Eternals and that releases theatrically on November 5, with a Disney Plus release date of December likely.
