Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 has seemingly teased a monster with a similar appearance to Siren Head, the popular (and creepy) internet creation that has appeared in various viral YouTube and TikTok videos. The brief appearance of a mechanical monster in the latest Fortnite trailer certainly shares a likeness with the fictional internet cryptid, but is this really Siren Head, or something else entirely?
Is Siren Head in Fortnite?
There’s no doubt that the monster briefly appearing in the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 Battle Pass trailer looks a lot like Siren Head. Its incredibly thin frame, long and pointed hands, and two objects atop its head definitely bring to mind the humanoid monster.
Created by artist Trevor Henderson, Siren Head captured the internet’s imagination similar to Slender Man, and it has since been the subject of its own indie games such as Modus Interactive’s itch.io game of the same name, along with being included in various mods in games such as Fallout 4 and Minecraft.
However, to casual audiences, it is perhaps most commonly known for its appearance in various viral videos, with it inspiring a number of TikTok and YouTube video, most famously the clip below which promptly did the rounds across social media:
In the latest Fortnite trailer, a similar-looking monster is seen rising up behind the players, seemingly equipped with two sirens on its head and the same towering, thin body. While the sirens are undoubtedly different compared to the ones seen on the original Siren Head, this could well be Epic Games’ own spin on the creature, rather than the developer lifting the idea wholesale from Henderson.

The fact that the trailer cuts out immediately following the appearance of this Siren Head-esque monster certainly implies that its introduction is a big deal, and we could well be seeing one of the battle royale game’s most formidable AI enemies yet. However, with the new update having yet to go live, we’re left waiting to see if this is indeed Siren Head, or a monster that just so happens to look very similar to him.
