Battlefield Mobile appears on Play Store with gameplay screenshots

Battlefield Mobile has appeared on the Google Play Store alongside a bunch of gameplay screenshots. The screenshots show some classic maps rendered in mobile quality. The game promises “large-scale battles [with] large-scale destruction,” a “range of game modes,” “competitive gameplay,” a “massive arsenal,” and “unique classes with exclusive heroes.”

To play Battlefield Mobile on Android, users should:

  • Wait until the release date, currently scheduled for sometime in 2022.

Both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store offer the ability to pre-register interest in apps that aren’t out yet. Eager fans will want to monitor the Battlefield Mobile page so that they can be first in line for downloading the game on launch day.

Battlefield Mobile was initially announced back in April. Developed by Industrial Toys, this iOS and Android game will be a “fully-fledged, skill-based experience.” It’s apparently currently going through testing, with the BF Mobile release date estimated to be sometime in 2022.

With Call of Duty Mobile continuing to pull in big numbers, it’ll be interesting to see how Battlefield Mobile compares to its ancient first-person shooter rival on the mobile platforms.

In other gaming news, the new Fortnite update is now live. It’s a relatively minor patch, but fixes one very annoying issue.
