New Fortnite 17.50.1 update fixes the Crew Protocol back bling issue

The Fortnite 3.29 (17.50.1) update patch notes are now ready to read, thanks to official @FortniteStatus Twitter account. The patch, which is currently being deployed across, PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Android (and soon Nintendo Switch, too) is a relatively small patch that shouldn’t take too long to download and install. What’s more, the patch doesn’t require any downtime to implement, so players can simply install it and keep on playing!

While Epic Games isn’t always clear about what new patches do, the developer has been upfront about the fixes included in the Fortnite 3.29 (17.50.1) update.

  • The fixes include:
  • Stability issues.

The Crew Protocol back bling now shows up properly upon logging into the game.

Yep, that’s it for this surprise Friday patch. Unfortunately, there are no major content drops included in this update. It’s just a couple of fixes to make the Fortnite experience smoother.

Dataminers are currently downloading and inspecting the patch, but it’s unlikely that they will find anything this time around. Hidden files are more often contained in the larger patches. This patch is much smaller than normal.

With Fortnite Season 8 dropping on September 13, there will soon be a lot of new content for players to enjoy. If this patch has left you disappointed and unimpressed, there’s not much longer to wait until the new season begins!
