Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer easter eggs

Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer hits with possible Daredevil and Miles Morales Easter eggs

A load of Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer Easter eggs have been spotted now that the exciting new trailer for the latest Spider-Man movie has finally dropped, just three months ahead of the movie’s release date. Amongst other cool details, including the confirmation of the long-rumored return of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) is a possible Spider-Man: No Way Home Daredevil cameo. Perhaps even a Spider-Man: No Way Home Miles Morales appearance may be on the cards?

All Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer Easter eggs

Here are all the significant Easter eggs and references spotted in the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer:

  • Doc Ock’s Return: The most obvious is the reveal of the movie’s worst-kept secret, Alfred Molina’s return to the role of Otto Octavius for the first time since Spider-Man 2. The big question is whether the MCU Spider-Man is travelling to the Sam Raimi universe or whether Doc Ock and other villains are coming to the MCU — the latter seems most likely.
  • Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum: This is covered in snow and is being cleaned up, probably because it had a large hole in the roof for five years after Hulk crashed into it in Avengers: Infinity War.
  • One More Day: In the Marvel comics, following the events of ‘Civil War’ Peter Parker unmasked himself, which was a big mistake he tried to undo with the help of Doctor Strange in the ‘One More Day’ storyline. The movie seems to be following this idea.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Daredevil

  • Daredevil: Down at the police station, Peter talks to a man in a shirt and tie who is only seen in shadow. Fans are certain, based on various leaks and rumors, that this is Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox). If true, this would be the first Netflix Marvel hero to appear in a theatrical movie.
  • The F.E.A.S.T. Center: Partway into the trailer, Spider-Man in his new black and gold suit appears in a community center. The poster on the wall clearly identifies this place as a F.E.A.S.T. center, the first time the relief organization has been seen in the movies but which fans of the Spider-Man PS4/PS5 games will be familiar with.

  • Miles Morales: This woman in the car appears in the trailer preview so is clearly important, plus she isn’t driving herself. This may be Rio Morales, mother of second Spider-Man Miles Morales — who was previously referenced in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
  • Lizard?: A dark figure can be seen approaching Peter that may be the Lizard/Curt Connors.
  • Green Goblin: A Goblin bomb and a familiar laugh is heard on the same bridge as Doc Ock.
  • Sandman/Electro: Electricity combined with a sandstorm has fans anticipating this duo putting their powers together.
  • Shang-Chi: Wong (Benedict Wong) appears in the trailer, and may be heading off to fight Abomination in next month’s Shang-Chi movie.

Spider-Man: No Way Home opens on December 17.
