One of the most anticipated films left to release in 2021 is Spider-Man: No Way Home. The third standalone film starring Tom Holland’s Spidey, it’s rumored to unite former Spider-Men Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, in a dimension-hopping adventure. Fans are unsurprisingly desperate to catch a first glimpse at the movie, including a look at the multiverse’s Spider-Men. Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer countdown details and release date
Sadly, we still don’t have a release date for the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer. Despite releasing in cinemas on December 17, 2021, details are still incredibly thin on the ground about the film.
In fact, we only learned the film’s title in February of this year. This is a stark contrast to most MCU films, which have their titles announced years in advance. With the Spider-Man MCU films, Sony retains control of the marketing, meaning their approach will differ from how Marvel Studios handle it.
While we don’t have a trailer yet, we are starting to see the first glimpses of marketing for Spider-Man: No Way Home. Following the title reveal, in early July we saw designs of Funko Pop figures, and other toys, that will release alongside the film. They include a new Spider-Man suit, which is primarily black with gold flecks. This is no doubt a new version of the Iron Spider suit we first saw in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War.
Outside of that, the only sneak peeks we’ve seen have been through leaks. First up was the title reveal of a junior companion novel, called Spider-Man’s Very Strange Day. That comes out in November – and by that point, we should have a trailer and poster for the film. The most recent leak is a range of promo posters, featuring Spidey alongside Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. Other than that, though, details are thin on No Way Home.
