Today, the Fortnite Rainbow Royale event was announced, which is set to celebrate the game’s LGBTQIA+ community. Starting this week, Rainbow Royale will introduce new items into the game, as well as a radio station made up of world-famous LGBTQIA+ artists.
What is included in the Fortnite Rainbow Royale event?
The key addition in Fortnite Rainbow Royale is a range of impressive items, with rainbow designs, to represent the LGBTQIA+ community. First up are four new weapon sprays: Vibrant Heart, Vibrant Llama, Vibrant Boogie, and Vibrant Star. As you might have guessed, they’re the classic existing Fortnite emotes, with a Pride-based rainbow design. Next is the Sunshine & Rainbows Wrap, which lets you customise your weapons with the rainbow. The final new addition is the Take a’Bow Emote.
All these items will be available free of charge in the Item Shop, allowing all Fortnite players to join in with the Rainbow Royale event. If you’re more of a Fortnite Creative fan, then Epic Games have added a rainbow flag prop to use – meaning there’s a chance to represent Pride in all of Fortnite.
Excitingly, the event will also add tracks into battle royale from last month’s Love ISLV playlist. It comprises tracks by renowned LGBTQIA+ artists like Lil Nas X, Troye Sivan, and Kim Petras. There’s even more songs in the station that Epic Games haven’t specified – so the only way to find them is to listen to the station within Battle Royale mode.
Here’s the full list of new tracks:
BEATBOX
- Big Freedia – Platinum
- Lil Nas X – Montero
RADIO UNDERGROUND
- King Princess – Pain
- Troye Sivan – STUD
- Ben Platt – Imagine
POWER PLAY
- Daya – Bad Girl
- Hayley Kiyoko – Found My Friends
- Kim Petras – Malibu
The Fortnite Rainbow Royale event is live now, and runs for a week, ending on July 27 at 8PM ET. It’s a marvelous celebration of the game’s LGBTQIA+ community, and it’s sure to be a hit with fans.
