Call of Duty: Warzone could be getting planes, data miners claim

Call of Duty: Warzone could be getting planes in a new update, according to data miners. Allegedly, the game files contain code that makes reference to CoD: Warzone getting planes soon. It seems unlikely that modern aircraft would come to Verdansk at this stage, though World War 2 fighter planes appearing in collaboration with Call of Duty: Vanguard is perhaps more plausible.

Will a new Warzone update include planes?

Is Warzone getting planes

CoD: Warzone will receive planes in an upcoming patch, according to data miners. Reports indicate that a Call of Duty: Warzone WW2 event will begin anytime now, so the arrival of vintage aircraft would be fitting.

According to prior reports, Call of Duty: Vanguard will be unveiled within Warzone this summer. It’s the hottest season of the year right now, so, in theory, the reveal is due soon. Activision laying the groundwork to add planes fits the timeframe perfectly and would be a great way of attracting attention to its grand unveiling.

The CoD: Warzone World War 2 event could last right through to the eventual launch of Vanguard in November. A brand-new WW2 Call of Duty: Warzone map will reportedly launch alongside it, as a culmination of the lengthy event. It’d make sense for players to receive a drip-feed of new content leading into the new map’s arrival; classic weapons and vehicles are no doubt at the forefront of most fans’ minds, so the immediate arrival of planes could kick things off in the right way.

Of course, it’s only possible to speculate right now in the absence of any official confirmation. It’s worth noting, however, that @_Tom_Henderson_ has a solid track record for accurate Call of Duty leaks.

In the meantime, anyone looking to pick up a copy of Deathloop can already claim some free downloadable content. There’s also an all-new Sea of Thieves update out now, though it doesn’t solve the Plunder Pass rewards problem just yet.
