Warzone World War 2

New Warzone World War 2 map launching alongside Call of Duty: Vanguard, report states

Call of Duty: Warzone could be getting its biggest rework yet later this year. Rather than revealing CoD: Vanguard (the latest mainline entry) at E3 2021, Activision could be planning to host a reveal within Warzone. This could take the form of an in-game event introducing a Warzone World War 2 map that transports players back in time.

Call of Duty: Warzone WW2 map event details

Warzone World War 2

Call of Duty: Warzone will reportedly receive a new World War 2 map in November 2021, to coincide with the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date. The Warzone WW2 event could begin as soon as this summer, however.

VGC reports that Call of Duty: Vanguard is skipping this year’s all-digital E3 event. Instead, publisher Activision is apparently looking to unveil its new title within the free-to-play battle royale game Warzone. There was a massive amount of crossover between Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, so, if accurate, this isn’t all that surprising.

Whereas the previous collaborations took place after the launch of CoD: BOCW, in this instance, Activision may tease something from within Call of Duty: Warzone this summer. That’d kick off the crossover well before the launch of Vanguard, laying the groundwork for a WW2 map to arrive in November alongside the new game’s release.

The all-new World War 2 Warzone map is apparently “the series’ largest and most ambitious to date.”  It reportedly takes place in the Pacific theatre and boasts new vehicles to help users effectively traverse the huge environment. Players should gain access to Call of Duty: Warzone’s massive new Pacific map via a free update later this year.

Call of Duty’s main rival, Battlefield, is back on the scene in 2021. Like CoD, it’s also running a leaky ship. Plenty of info is getting out ahead of the impending reveal event; there are leaks relating to the release date and gameplay, along with an upcoming open beta.
