Call of Duty Mobile Season 5 Update Patch Notes

Call of Duty has dogs again, but there’s a catch

One of the highlights of Call of Duty is the dogs in multiplayer – and in some way, they’re back today. While you won’t find them on Black Ops Cold War or Warzone, the new update of Call of Duty Mobile introduces throat-biting dogs to take out enemies.

Call of Duty Mobile Season 5 Update Patch Notes

The new update for Call of Duty Mobile launches today, introducing Season 5 to the free-to-play game. It’s called In Deep Water, and is themed around water-based warfare. The most exciting inclusion is the K9 Unit operator skill. Available from the Season 5 Battle Pass, it summons a brutal dog to chew on enemies for an efficient instant kill.

It’s a welcome return of one of the Call of Duty series’ most popular killstreaks — a notable omission in the vastly popular Warzone mode. The dogs made their first appearance in the campaign of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. They most recently appeared in Call of Duty WWII. Though not in multiplayer, game files showed they were a cut killstreak. Therefore, the news that you can now harness dogs as a killstreak in Call of Duty Mobile will certainly be a welcome return for fans.

Elsewhere in the update, there’s the new CR-56 AMAX weapon, first seen in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Alongside that, three new maps, Suldal Harbor, Docks, and Aniyah Incursion, will be added to the game. Of course, there are plenty more weapon camos and other accessories included too. Therefore, it’s certainly an exciting time to play Call of Duty Mobile. Dogs are back, and enemies the world over will soon face the wrath of the fan-favorite killstreak.

In other news, the upcoming Dune movie has been hit with yet another delay. The season finale of Batwoman also hints at the arrival of the villain Poison Ivy in the show’s upcoming third season.
