Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game open-world

New Avatar game is the sci-fi world we’ve been waiting for

The new Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game has been revealed with a gameplay trailer. Though the video was short, it made one thing clear: the world of Pandora is going to be an epic sci-fi world. Here’s the need-to-know on the game’s setting and thoughts on whether it will be an open-world game.

Is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora open-world?

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open-world game.

For those who have seen the 2009 movie, they’ll know that the moon of Pandora is a very natural place and celebrated by the tribes that live there. The population respect nature and have an intimate relationship with the world around them. They have a very close connection with animals and use them as mounts.

The new trailer’s video description explains that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora “brings to life the alluring world of Pandora with all of its beauty and danger in an immersive, open-world experience.”

Players will be exploring a “never-before-seen part of Pandora.” This means that, even if players have seen the movie, the game’s setting should feel new.

The new Avatar game’s open world is inhabited by “unique creatures and new characters” with the enemy being the “formidable RDA forces that threaten it.”

It’s worth noting that Ubisoft Massive most recently worked on The Division 2, which has an open world. The studio is also working on an open-world Star Wars game. It certainly seems like open-world games are this developer’s specialty as of late.

In other video game news, the Elden Ring release date was confirmed alongside a lengthy gameplay trailer.

Skull & Bones was missing from the Ubisoft Forward event. Read up on the current state of the game here.

It seems Ubisoft has realized its Far Cry heroes are dull AF and is now giving players the power to control villains instead.
