Mass Effect Legendary Edition Missing DLC

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is missing one DLC, but it’s the least important one

Anyone who has played the Mass Effect trilogy knows that purchasing and installing the DLC can be a headache. EA has streamlined the process somewhat in the last few years, but it’s still not intuitive, especially on PC. Besides the graphical improvements, one of the most exciting things about Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is that it will install all the DLC alongside the games. There is an exception, though. One piece of Mass Effect DLC will be missing from Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition DLC List

The Mass Effect series debuted during the industry’s first big push to monetize games past the base price. The original game only featured two DLC, but the situation got out of hand by the time the second and third released.

Mass Effect 2 eventually received 25 DLC packs (some of which were included as part of other DLC packs). Mass Effect 3 got 16 of them (plus additional DLC for multiplayer). The majority of these will come with Mass Effect: Legendary Edition:

Mass Effect:

  • Bring Down the Sky

Mass Effect 2:

  • Aegis Pack (Includes M-29 Incisor)
  • Alternate Appearance Pack 1
  • Alternate Appearance Pack 2
  • Arc Projector
  • Arrival
  • Blood Dragon Armor
  • Cerebus Weapon and Armor
  • Collectors’ Weapon and Armor
  • Equalizer Pack (Includes Inferno Armor)
  • Firepower Pack
  • Firewalker Pack
  • Kasumi – Stolen Memory
  • Lair of the Shadow Broker
  • Mass Effect: Genesis
  • Normandy Crash Site
  • Overlord
  • Recon Operations Pack (Includes Recon Hood, Sentry Interface, and Umbra Visor)
  • Terminus Weapon and Armor
  • Zaeed – The Price of Revenge

Which DLC is missing from Mass Effect: Legendary Edition?

All the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer DLC is missing since that mode has been removed. However, all the single-player DLC is in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition except for one.

Fans of the series probably quickly noticed the DLC that was missing. EA contracted Pinnacle Station out to Demiurge Studios. When EA reached out for a copy of the source code, Demiurge found it corrupted. This is the reason why the DLC never found its way to the PS3 version release (and re-release). Instead of shifting manpower to recreate Pinnacle Station and possibly delay the release, EA decided to omit it from Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.

Luckily, Pinnacle Station had almost no bearing on the story whatsoever. Unfortunately, it won’t be included, but its absence has the least effect compared to other story DLC.
