New Black Ops Cold War update preps the game for Season 1

The new Black Ops Cold War 1.08 update is now rolling out across PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. This new Call of Duty patch brings a number of changes to the game, including Season 1 content. Depending on the platform, this patch’s size comes in at between 3.4 GB to 7.1 GB. This update adds Season 1 content to the game, but it won’t unlock until December 16. This new Black Ops Cold War content includes 2v2 Gunfight with four maps, four new multiplayer maps, new multiplayer game modes, a new vehicle and scorestreak, a new zombies map and mode, and the Battle Pass.

Call of Duty: Warzone will receive a separate update that will implement Black Ops Cold War content, as well as the new Rebirth Island map.

Season 1 was supposed to launch earlier, but it was delayed. Here is the reasoning Treyarch Studios gave for delaying the first season of content.
