Bioshock 2, The Bureau Developers 2K Marin Rumored To Close

2K Games representatives confirmed that the publisher's 2K Marin studio, having recently released The Bureau: XCOM Declassified after a tumultuous development cycle and poor reception, suffered "staff reductions" today.

A number of employees speaking with Polygon said that most of the team has been let go and the few employees of 2K Games remaining will be moving to the San Francisco area to form Bay Area 2K under Rod Fergusson.

2K Marin previously released Bioshock 2 which I thought was better than the original Bioshock by allowing players to have plasmids and fire arms at the same time. I hope everyone affected by the (impending) studio closure lands on their feet, finds new work quickly, and sleeps in really, really late tomorrow (because of the drinking).
