Crysis Remastered Epic Games Store exclusive deal has been announced right as the developers have revealed the new release date: Crysis Remastered will be coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One next month.

“The long wait is almost over – it is Official!” reads a tweet from the developers. “Crysis Remastered is coming to your favorite gaming platforms on 18th September 2020.”

That tweet pointed to a trailer showing off some of the many graphical improvements coming to the game. The end card, however, revealed something that isn’t quite sitting well with everyone who was waiting for this game: a Crysis Remastered Epic Games Store exclusivity deal at launch. That means that it’s going to be an exclusive, likely for a period of one year, in-line with other Epic exclusives.

Aside from the Epic exclusive announcement, Crysis Remastered also showed off a new tech trailer detailing the graphical improvements that are coming to this game.

Crysis Remastered Epic Games Store graphics comparison

Previously, Crysis Remastered had to delay its release date on every platform save for the Nintendo Switch. That led to an amusingly ironic situation where a remaster that proudly presented its impressive graphical upgrades made its debut on the platform with the weakest graphical power of this generation. Now, we can finally get a look at some of the improvements coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Crysis Remastered features the following graphics improvements?

  • New lighting
  • Updated assets
  • New 8K textures
  • Ray-traced reflections
  • Ray-traced water reflections

Unfortunately, no price has been announced for Crysis Remastered’s launch on PC and the other two consoles. That said, it’s been priced at $29.99 (or your regional equivalent) on the Nintendo Switch eShop, so you will probably end up paying the same when it launches on the Epic Games Store and console storefronts.

The Crysis Remastered Epic Games Store page isn’t up just yet, but it probably will be, soon. If you want to get it on Steam, the odds are you won’t be able to grab it until September 18, 2021, at the minimum. For now, you can check out the Crysis Remastered Tech Trailer Preview below and see all of the shiny new graphical upgrades coming to this game.
