August PlayStation State of Play Crash 4 PS5

August PlayStation State of Play has ‘no big PS5 announcements’

Details on the August PlayStation State of Play have been announced and it’s not looking good for people who want to see the PS5 price— the announcement says that there will be “no big PS5 announcements” during this week’s stream, although we will get a longer look at Crash Bandicoot 4.

“And just to be super clear — there will be no PlayStation Studios updates in Thursday’s episode,” stated the PlayStation Blog post. “There won’t be any updates around hardware, business, preorders, or dates either. On Thursday, our focus is squarely on showcasing some cool upcoming games coming to the broader PlayStation ecosystem. Should be fun!”

No specific games are mentioned in that blog post, although we did learn some new details about how PS4 hardware will work on the PS5. However, the Japanese version of the blog notes that there will be new information on Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, so we have at least that to look forward to.

When is the August PlayStation State of Play?

The date and time for the August PlayStation State of Play is as follows:

  • August 6, 2020, at 1:00 PM PDT (Pacific Time)
  • August 6, 2020, at 1:00 PM EDT (Eastern Time)
  • August 6, 2020, at 1:00 PM BST (British Time)

Although we won’t get any new PS5 details, this livestream is taking place pretty early in the month — we may still get the announcement we’re waiting for before August is done.
