PS5 price rumors pre-order Amazon

PS5 price rumors fell flat, but we might see Amazon pre-orders soon

A recent wave of PS5 price rumors pegged a July 13, 2020 reveal as the day we’d finally see what this next-gen console costs. The day has passed and there was still no PS5 price reveal, but we still could see how much Sony’s next console will cost us in the very near future.

Roughly two weeks ago, a rumor on Twitter stated that we’d see the PS5 price, release date, and pre-order details revealed on July 13, 2020. As one might note, nothing has happened on that day in terms of these hard details, but there has been one promising development: Amazon.

Sony recently launched the PS5 Amazon page, touting all of the benefits of this upcoming console in delicious detail. It also includes a number of subsections linking to accessories and upcoming games like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Horizon Forbidden West.

However, the page currently doesn’t list any prices, with us remaining in the dark about how much the console and its games will cost. While we learned that at least one PS5 game will cost $69.99 when NBA 2K21‘s next-gen pricing was revealed, we still don’t know for sure exactly how much we can expect to pay for PS5 game and hardware.

It’s clear that Sony is spinning up its online storefronts to get ready for PS5 pre-orders and that naturally means we’ll be seeing the price soon. We can’t say for sure how much it will cost, but Sony could be bold and aim for a surprisingly low price point.
