Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect seems to have been banned from Twitch. The controversial mustached internet star’s Twitch channel is now blank and just leads to the following image.
Dr Disrespect, whose real name is Herschel Beahm IV, has not stated anything on his Twitter account about the ban. His page still has his weekly schedule on it so this was very likely not planned. Twitch has also stayed silent in the wake of his barren channel. Twitter bot account StreamerBans gave no further explanation of the ban after discovering it.

Dr Disrespect has had his own controversies over the years like recording people in bathrooms (which got him banned for two weeks) among other things, but there was obvious catalyst for this ban. And given that, some, like YouTuber Classify, are guessing that it is the result of a DMCA takedown from playing music during streams. However, we won’t know for sure until someone familiar with the matter speaks up.
Update 1: Esports reporter Rod Breslau has reported that Dr Disrespect has been permanently banned from Twitch, according to his sources. He also said it was not related to DMCA.
Update 2: IGN reached out to Twitch to explain the ban but the company gave no specific reason and gave the following vague statement:
“As is our process, we take appropriate action when we have evidence that a streamer has acted in violation of our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. These apply to all streamers regardless of status or prominence in the community.”
Update 3: Streamer ShannonZKiller added that her sources say that Disrespect is “done, and not just on Twitch” and that “this is serious.” She also claims to know what happened but has not shared.
