DrDisrespect on Call of Duty Ban: ‘I Took It Personal’

Self-proclaimed “ruthless, athletic competitor in video game history” and prominent Youtuber streamer DrDisrespect has opened up about his Call of Duty ban that followed his removal from Twitch in 2020. After being asked by a fan “Why are you ripping Call of Duty so much?,” the Doc recounted how Call of Duty had “secretly shadowbanned” him and stopped talking to his team. He also alleges that “the same exact thing” happened with EA.

In a recent livestream, DrDisrespect gave more details about his relationship with Call of Duty following his removal from Twitch:

Once I got banned from the purple snake’s platform, they secretly shadow-banned and stopped talking to us and all that stuff. To me, Iike, I took it personal. We made multiple commercials. We did lots of deals. And to exclude us from anything, to not allow us— Trust me, there’s just, you know, we designed half the maps for Advanced Warfare, we’ve done a lot with the franchise, right, and for them to turn cold shoulder like that, trust me, I took it personal.

He goes on to mention how “a lot of the industry is phony” and how there’s a “lot of phoniness” inside of “the corporation.”

DrDisresepect went on to say how it’s “the same thing with EA” and how “they turned the cold shoulder” with “no support for the ‘two time’.”

At the time of writing, the YouTube highlight of the Doc talking about his Call of Duty ban has over 360,000 views. More will have heard his comments live during his popular show.
