New Prince of Persia VR escape room traps players in the Fortress of Time

Ubisoft has revealed a new Prince of Persia VR escape room experience. Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time is a brand-new game in the Prince of Persia franchise that’s making its way to VR pretty soon. If you love solving puzzles, then this might just be the game for you.

VentureBeat reports on this brand-new game that’s a little different from what players might expect from the Prince of Persia franchise. The biggest change is that The Dagger of Time will be a Prince of Persia VR escape room rather than a traditional kind of game, bringing the franchise to your VR headset for the first time ever.

Multiplayer, too, will be coming to this game, although you’re going to be disappointed if you’re hoping for high-flying action. Instead, this will have 1–4 players have to solve puzzles to advance into the Fortress of Time.

You’re unfortunately going to have to head out on the town for this one, too. This is going to be a location-based experience set up in venues rather than something you play on your PC or console. Thankfully, Ubisoft has partnered with more than 300 locations to bring this new game to an arcade near you.

You’ll be able to play Prince of Persia: The Dagger of Time when it debuts sometime in the Spring of 2020.
