Yesterday, an Xbox Game Pass Discord partnership was revealed, adding to the already significant bonuses that you can get with Microsoft’s subscription service. Simply put, new subscribers to Game Pass will also get three months of Discord Nitro, but the benefits don’t end there.
Niko Partners Senior Analyst Daniel Ahmad took to Twitter to reveal a surprising fact about the Xbox Game Pass Discord Nitro deal. It seems that you’ll actually be able to get even more months of Xbox Game Pass out of your subscription:

“Looks like the Xbox x Discord partnership goes one step further,” Ahmad said in a tweet. “In addition to three months free Discord Nitro for new Game Pass subs. Existing Nitro subs can get three months free Game Pass.”

Furthermore, one reply to that tweet reports that the three months of Xbox Game Pass will convert into 2 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate if you already have a subscription… which you will, as you’ll only get the Xbox Game Pass Discord Nitro bonuses by subscribing to the Ultimate tier of the Xbox Game Pass service.
To recap, here’s what you’ll get if you’re buying Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for the first time at the price of $1 for new users:
- three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
- one month of EA Access
- three months of Discord Nitro
- six months of Spotify Premium
- an additional three months of Xbox Game Pass (which reportedly converts into two months of Ultimate) as a bonus from Discord Nitro
It’s unclear if this additional bonus is intended or a leftover deal that wasn’t considered by either company. If it’s true, that means that you’ll either get three months of Game Pass Ultimate and an additional three months of regular Game Pass or a total of five months of Game Pass Ultimate (plus all the other bonuses!) for just one dollar.
If this is intentional, it’s pretty wild that this wasn’t mentioned during the X019 show where they announced the Xbox Game Pass Discord partnership. If it’s not intentional, they’ll probably get around to fixing this loophole sooner rather than later, so you probably shouldn’t sleep on signing up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
