Precursor Games is NOT giving up on the possibility of developing Shadow of the Eternals, the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness. Their original Kickstarter fundraising campaign may have failed, but they're back with a new campaign that has new goals, new features, and a new voice actor.

The company originally asked for a grand total of $1.5 million to fund this game between the fundraising efforts on its website and on Kickstarter. Now they're asking for $750,000 on Kickstarter starting today.

Shadow of the Eternals will now be a single 8-10 hour game instead of an episodic format, and Precursor has added voice actor David Hayter to the cast. You may remember him from other video game hits such as Metal Gear Solid.

If Precursor meets this new goal, they will release Shadow of the Eternals on the Wii U and PC in late 2014. If they hit one of their stretch goals beyond their $750,000 goal, they will port the game to the PlayStation 4 as well.
