In the age of game revivals, Sony has decided to bring back one of its most beloved classics, MediEvilThis hack and slash game is set to release on the PlayStation 4 on October 6, 2019. In anticipation, Sony has announced the MediEvil demo, which will allow players early access to a free trial of the game. MediEvil Demo

Starting today, players can download the MediEvil demo from the PlayStation Store for free to get an early look at the remake. Unfortunately, Sony didn’t announce how much of the game would be included in the demo, but anything free is usually a good thing. At the current time, there doesn’t seem to be any kind of deadline for downloading the free trial, meaning you should be able to partake in the MediEvil demo at any time until launch.

In addition to the free trial of MediEvil, Sony is also offering players who try out the game a free item. Anyone who downloads and tries out the MediEvil demo will be given Dan’s Helmet, which will carry over to the full game at launch. It was not stated if progress in the demo would carry over at launch, but it seems unlikely since it is merely a demo.

To download the demo, simply boot up your PlayStation 4 and head to the PlayStation Store. In the search bar, type in MediEvil and you should find the game page. From there, you’ll see an option to download the trial. If you’ve been on the fence about the game, this should be a good chance to decide if you want to purchase the full version or not when it releases in a few days.

The September 2019 State of Play was packed full of tons of great announcements, including The Last of Us 2 release date, information on a special edition Death Stranding PS4, October PS Plus announcements, and a whole lot more.
