A Ghost Recon Breakpoint technical test is coming this weekend for select players. The online technical test, which is the second Ubisoft has hosted for the Ghost Recon Breakpoint alpha, will run from July 26 to 29. Invites for the technical test will be sent out tomorrow, July 24, to select people.

Ubisoft detailed the Ghost Recon Breakpoint technical test on its website. The primary focus of the technical test is the polishing of online functions and connection services, according to Ubisoft, not the game’s content. As such, the Ghost Recon Breakpoint alpha build being tested will only be a “very small” portion of the game, which doesn’t represent the scope of the final version. This means the visuals and other elements of the game could be fairly limited, or at least not entirely finished, during the technical test.

Participants for the Ghost Recon Breakpoint alpha technical test will be selected randomly from PC, PS4, and Xbox One users, and Ubisoft notes that those who have pre-ordered the game will not be guaranteed access to the test. Those who participate must agree to a non-disclosure agreement that prevents the sharing of information, screenshots, and video, so the general public likely won’t be able to learn anything about the game from the technical test. While pre-ordering may not guarantee a spot in the Ghost Recon Breakpoint alpha technical test, it does guarantee access to the game’s beta. Those interested can also register on the Ghost Recon Breakpoint website for a chance to enter the beta from September 5 to September 8 without pre-ordering.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint launches on October 4 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game ditches Ghost Recon Wildlands‘ real-world setting, instead taking players to a fictional island called Auroa. There, they’ll have to cope with new survival mechanics and utilize other additional gameplay features to take down the new enemy faction, the Wolves.
