EA Delivers Battlefield 3 and BF 2 Nostalgia Direct

I spent a lot of time with Battlefield 2. It's one of those games that sticks out in my mind as a truly "next-generation" experience… back when BF 2 was next-generation. Modern multiplayer shooters started with BF 2 and I'm thinking post-modern mulitplayer shooters are going to start with Battlefield 3. Let's make sure I don't sound like a fanboy though.

I'm basing all of this speculation on the fact that Battlefield 3's engine looks miles ahead of Modern Warfare 3's. When you throw in BF 3's ability to accommodate more players, vehicles, and an engine capable of on-the-fly destruction Activision and the developers behind Modern Warfare 3 have their work cut out for them.
