Mortal Kombat 11 Nightwolf DLC

Mortal Kombat 11 Nightwolf DLC teased yet again

The recent Mortal Kombat 11 Nightwolf DLC teaser finally gives us a good look at the Matoka warrior. A release date for his arrival to NetherRealm Studios’ latest fighting game has yet to be revealed, but it will be his first playable appearance since Mortal Kombat 9.

The latest Nightwolf teaser, like the Sindel tease from a few days ago, comes from Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon. This new iteration’s appearance is pretty similar to his looks in previous games but with some deviations. Sporting the red eye makeup and jet black hair he is known for, there are some deviations to his older designs. Namely, the headdress he is wearing. It’s hard to tell what it is exactly, but hopefully, it will protect his head when he’s shoulder charging someone.

This is not the first time Nightwolf was teased for MK11. Back in mid-June, a simple, stylized side profile of the upcoming DLC character was revealed, giving us the “first look.” By the end of June, Boon provided us with another tease for Nightwolf, only showing the back of his leg and the top half of his tomahawk. Unlike the Sindel tease, which gave us a pretty decent idea of what the character will look like in-game, the Nightwolf teases still maintains a sense of mystery around the character.

What can this influx of sneak peeks mean? Is it possible we’ll see an in-game render of Spawn next since he was one of the three DLC characters announced? Is there going to be a trailer or Kombat Kast soon giving each of these characters a full reveal? We’ll have to wait and see.

Nightwolf, Sindel, Spawn, Shang Tsung, and two more unannounced guest characters are all part of the first Kombat Pack. Not much is known about the two guest characters, but it has been rumored that Ash Williams from Evil Dead and the Terminator might fill those last two spots on the DLC roster.
