Mortal Kombat 11 Sindel DLC character gets first official picture

The Mortal Kombat 11 Sindel DLC teaser finally gives us a look at what the former Edenian ruler looks like in NetherRealm’s newest fighting game. While no release date was given, she now sports an updated look from her last appearance in Mortal Kombat 9.

Tweeted by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, we see Sindel as we have never really seen her before. Although she has her signature long, grayish hair and purple attire that we’ve come to be accustomed to, she has a more regal look, wearing clothing more befitting for a queen. It should also be noted that she is a Revenant, or undead, like Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana, Jade, and Kabal in MK11. Along with the picture, Boon tweets “Seven deadly Sindels,” which is probably just Boon trying to be punny.

Sindel is just one of six fighters included in the first Mortal Kombat 11 Kombat Pack. Shang Tsung was released back in June bringing the shape-shifting sorcerer to the popular fighting game. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, the actor who played Shang Tsung in the 1995 Mortal Kombat film, lent his voice and likeness to the fighter complete with “your soul is mine,” victory dialogue.

It was also announced Nightwolf and Spawn would fill two spots on the DLC roster along with Sindel. Other than some drawn profiles of the characters, we have yet to see what the two will look like in Mortal Kombat 11. There are two other “guest” characters, but who those characters are has yet to be officially revealed. However, it has been rumored that Ash Williams from the cult horror films Evil Dead and Army of Darkness and the Terminator could be joining the fray.

Despite the stilted patch release schedule, the Mortal Kombat 11 Sindel DLC release date will probably be the same for all the platforms, as Shang Tsung came to the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch on the same day.
