Dragon’s Dogma For The Vita Will Be Free-To-Play

This week's Famitsu has confirmed that there is a new Dragon's Dogma game coming for the Vita in Japan this Fall. Called Dragon's Dogma Quest, the game will be an online-only 2D RPG that will focus more on strategy than action. It will also be free-to-play.

Players will have over 150 jobs to choose from and can bring four pawns as they explore dungeons and towns and take on numerous side quests. Players can also team up with four of their friends' pawns as well, so a party could have up to eight characters while dungeon crawling.

There will also be a billing model just for those gamers who may not have as much time on their hands to grind through the game.

Free-to-play seems to be the format of choice these days, and this foray could be huge for Japan and the Vita if it's done properly. No word as of yet if Dragon's Dogma Quest will make its way off Japan to the West.
