Monster Hunter 4 Gets Nintendo Direct Trailer

The fourth entry to the Monster Hunter series is only months away from release. To promote the title Nintendo has released a three-minute trailer containing gameplay footage.

The thing to learn from this all-new Monster Hunter 4 video is there will be a variety of terrifying bosses to engage; massive shark monsters that can walk on land, and stone dragons that would like nothing more than to stomp you into a tasty pancake. The gameplay and visuals appear remarkably similar to Monster Hunter 3, and you'll still live on a small island with cats that speak French. However, if you look closely, you'll see some new elements that'll freshen up the series, namely new weapon types that will change the metagame.

Monster Hunter 4 releases in Japan on September 14th. Stay tuned for the inevitable North American Wii U edition announcement.
