Battlefield 5 is being added to EA Access, with the game being made available on the subscription service for PS4 and Xbox One users. The announcement was made during the EA Play E3 2019 presentation, held before the LA gaming event is officially underway. Battlefield 5 will be added to EA Access in July.
Battlefield 5 being added to EA Access means that it will become available to download for free (minus the subscription service) for users. This will mean that those who have a membership with the service will be able to play the game without having to make a standalone purchase.
Elsewhere in the EA Play E3 2019 presentation, DICE announced a brand new map, Marita, along with unveiling the game’s roadmap.
Battlefield 5 being added to EA Access follows the news of it being added to Origin Access Basic. This is the PC equivalent of EA Access, which is specifically for the console versions of the game.
