June 2019 PS Plus games

Playstation Plus June 2019 free games lineup

With a new month comes new free games! The PlayStation Plus June 2019 lineup is here. This month, players can get Sonic Mania and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection absolutely free. Yes, this is almost definitely the best PS Plus lineup in an absolute age, so you’d best get downloading when the games become available on June 4.

Sonic Mania, for those unfamiliar with the blue blur’s recent revival, returned to its speedy roots in 2017. The game follows Sonic facing off against Eggman, with the caveat being things are given a bit more a remix to refresh the tried-and-tested formula. Did someone say Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine?

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, meanwhile, offers some serious bang for your buck. Not only does it come with Borderlands 2, but also the Pre-Sequel, which puts you in the shoes of a certain Handsome Jack before he went all, you know, evil. That’s a lot of looting, a lot of shooting, all for the price of absolutely zilch. You can catch-up before Borderlands too, thanks to the Handsome Collection being available across June.

So, you know, you’re looking at a hundred hours of gameplay here at the absolute minimum. Sony typically tends to play ball with the masses come E3 time and, this year, it’s no different. Sure, it won’t have a presence at the LA event, but it’s (probably) already won the hearts and minds of gamers everywhere with what’s looking like an all-timer set of PS Plus June 2019 games. Your move, Microsoft. Your move.

Both games are, again, completely free. As long as you have a PlayStation Plus account, play these games to the fullest at no charge in June! PlayStation Plus is available for $9.99 per month, $24.99 quarterly, or $59.99 for an entire year. It comes with several perks besides free games, including online play, discounted content, and more. Happy gaming!
