I'm honest about the fact that I've never played an Elder Scrolls game before. Skyrim was going to be start of what seems like a long and unhealthy relationship with the western RPG series. Unfortunately, Bethesda knows that there are a ton of people like me in the world and they don't want Oblivion to sit on the shelves any longer.
That's why Bethesda and Zenimax Media are unleashing a very limited run of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 5th Anniversary Edition. If reports are to be believed, only 200,000 copies will be made.
The package includes
–Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition
-Collector's Edition Content (map, "Making of" DVD with Skyrim Trailer)
-$10 off coupon (redeemable at any retailer nationwide) for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The game will come packaged in a steelbook slip cover and run $29.99. The package will be at retail on June 28th for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. With only 200,000 units in circulation, this might be a retail package I'll pick up whether I play it or not.
