Quantic Dream has revealed release dates for Heavy Rain, Beyond, and Detroit on PC. Additionally, the company confirmed that all three games would also be getting demos.
Epic Games is helping bring these three interactive dramas from Quantic Dream to PC. Naturally, they will all be exclusive to the Epic Games Store.
Heavy Rain, which first debuted on PlayStation 3 in 2012, will arrive first on June 24. The demo for it however arrives one month earlier on May 24. Another former PlayStation 3 exclusive, Beyond: Two Souls will follow shortly on July 22. Its demo will be available on June 27. Detroit: Become Human on the other hand only has its release date listed as “Fall,” with its demo preceding it sometime in the summer.
Both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls will be priced at $19.99. However, Detroit: Become Human will sell for $49.99.
For the longest time, Quantic Dream’s interactive dramas were solely the domain of the Sony PlayStation. The company’s last PC release was Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit in Europe) which originally hit the platform in 2006 before receiving a remaster in 2015.
Commenting on these releases, Quantic Dream co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere stated that “bringing our last three interactive dramas to the PC platform will enable new audiences to experience what Quantic Dream games are all about.”
“Through these demos, gamers will have the opportunity to look into the hard work and dedication we have put into the PC versions of our beloved titles,” de Fondaumiere continued. “For those who have never played a Quantic Dream title, this will be a great opportunity to experience the unique nature of our games.”
Of course, the studio is still grateful for the opportunities working with Sony has given it. However, it’s choosing to go multiplatform as a means to “expand Quantic Dream’s global audience.” In addition to the three ports, the studio plans to release a new multi-platform IP sometime in the future.
