Atlus Opens Shin Megami Tensei IV Site Packed With New Info For Western Gamers

Atlus has opened the gates to the Western website for Shin Megami Tensei IV and eager gamers like me can dive in now and check out the wallpapers, screens, and newly translated game info. In addition to setting the stage and getting a better grip on SMT IV's world, you can learn about the characters you'll work with in-game.

The upcoming JRPG transports players to Mikado where the Samurai help to ensure peace and stability for everyone in the kingdom. This divides the people into two classes, the laboring Casualries and the wealthy Luxurors, with the "vigilant" Samurai cutting their own path between the two.

That's where you come in. The player character begins the game near his 18th birthday, when he takes part in the Gauntlet Rite and takes up the mantle of Samurai himself. All of which comes with standard SMT choices that effect the balance between light and darkness in Mikado.

For more information, head over to atlus.com/smt4 for more media, character and plot details, and of course the obligatory preorder page. I've already put money down on the first-print of SMT IV and you might want to as well once you see all the goodies preordering gets you.
