QuakeCon Europe officially announced, Doom Eternal playable on show floor

Bethesda has officially revealed its plans to hold an inaugural QuakeCon Europe event later this year. The two-day free extravaganza will be held in London on the weekend of July 26 and 27, and will allow people to play Doom Eternal for the first time outside of North America.

QuakeCon Europe will run alongside its big brother QuakeCon, which will be held simultaneously in Dallas, Texas. Fans at both events will be able to get hands-on with a number of titles from the gaming giant. The news about Doom Eternal in particular, however, is sure to be the biggest selling point about QuakeCon Europe.

The upcoming sequel to the 2016 reboot will take center stage across the weekend, and ties into the “Year of Doom” theme that Bethesda is pushing hard in 2019. In keeping with these festivities, Bethesda will also set up a retro gaming area that shows off how the very first iteration of Doom came to be.

Other titles on offer for fans to get their hands on include the psychotically fun-looking Rage 2, the sequel to Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus in the shape of Wolfenstein: Youngblood, and the ever-updated Fallout 76. Quake Champions and The Elder Scrolls Online will also be playable on the show floor.

Bethesda won’t just be showing off new and current titles on its roster though. Panels from industry experts, art galleries, a table-top gaming section, and meet and greet opportunities with Bethesda’s development team are just a number of other activities to explore.

QuakeCon Europe will be free to attend, but places will be limited and tickets will go fast. If you’re dying to go, you can register for the chance to get tickets at this QuakeCon Europe information page. To find out more about the event as it draws nearer, you can also sign up the Bethesda’s mailing list to be kept uo-to-date on the latest announcements.
