Hideo Kojima and his development staff over at Kojima Productions were at one point working on a new entry in the Zone of the Enders franchise, but unfortunately, the Metal Gear creator has scrapped the project.

Kojima announced the news during his radio show, while also bringing to light his overall disappointment in the way the ZOE HD Collection turned out. The studio is currently working on a patch to fix the performance issues on the PS3 version.

The future of the series is now up in the air, as Kojima plans to re-evaluate the franchise. Would you still like to see a new Zone of the Enders game, or should Kojima Productions focus on Metal Gear Solid? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below.
