Xbox Game Pass May 2019

Xbox Game Pass May 2019 games include Wolfenstein II, Wargroove, and more!

The Xbox Game Pass May 2019 games have been announced. Microsoft is bringing eight new titles to its subscription service for players to enjoy and this month’s batch certainly provides a variety of gameplay! Shooters, strategies, and MMORPGs are all in the mix for the month of May, so let’s get right into breaking down what you can get!

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is the first of the Xbox Game Pass May 2019 games and it is certainly one of the bigger ticket items in the mix. This sequel to 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order sees players continuing the adventures of B.J. Blazkowicz in a dark world that has been overtaken by Nazis.

Chucklefish’s Wargroove will give players a shot at playing a spiritual successor to Advance Wars with a lot of neat modern twists. Surviving Mars is a fantastic retro-futuristic strategy game that sees you colonizing the titular red planet and uncovering strange sci-fi mysteries, and Tacoma is the newest story-heavy game from the developers of Gone Home.

That’s just half of the mix! Black Desert is an MMORPG with an absurdly detailed character design system that has a pretty hardcore fanbase (and a bit of grinding, too). For the King is a strategic role-playing game that mixes roguelike and tabletop elements into one package. The Surge is an action RPG that has you running around in powered armor and smashing things up in fierce melee combat. Finally, Lego Batman 3 is exactly what it says on the tin: the third Lego Batman game that continues the adventures of the Caped Crusader in Lego form.

As it happens every month, the Xbox Games Pass May 2019 games won’t all release on the same day. here are the launch dates for each of the titles:

  • Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus – May 2
  • Wargroove – May 2
  • Surviving Mars – May 9
  • Tacoma – May 9
  • Black Desert – May 9
  • For the King – May 10
  • The Surge – May 16
  • Lego Batman 3 – May 16

In addition, the news post highlighting the Xbox Game Pass May 2019 games points out a number of major updates that have recently come out for games that are already on the Xbox Game Pass. MinecraftSea of Thieves, and Human: Fall Flat have all received some pretty hefty updates that will give players a lot of new content to explore.
