An Xbox Live Gold deal is now available that offers up some pretty sweet incentives for players to get on board Microsoft’s online subscription service for their Xbox consoles. Gamers can get their first month of Xbox Live Gold for just $1, and there’s a cherry on top, too: they’ll also get 1,000 Apex Coins for Apex Legends included with their purchase.
There are, of course, several stipulations that come along with this deal. The free 1,000 Apex Coins are only being offered for the time period of April 11, 2019 at 9:00 PM PDT through May 12, 2019 at 11:59 PM PDT. They may not be delivered right away, either. The fine print of the Xbox Live Gold deal states that it can take until June 30, 2019, for the 1,000 Apex Coins to be delivered to your account as a digital code.
The 1,000 Apex Coins offered in the Xbox Live Gold deal also happen to be just enough in-game currency to purchase the Apex Legends Battle Pass. The Battle Pass offers over 100 levels of content for players to unlock until the Season 1 end date of June 4, 2019. The penultimate level of the Battle Pass allows players to unlock a pair of Havoc skins called The Silver Storm and The Golden Idol.
The Xbox Live Gold deal isn’t the only discount available to console gamers: The Xbox Game Pass is also being offered at a hefty discount of just $1 for the first three months of service. Both of these offers stipulate that the discount cannot be combined with any other offers, so you may have to choose between the two. Considering that you can use the 1,000 Apex Coins to buy the Apex Legends Battle Pass, this Xbox Live Gold deal may prove to be the better offer.
As is common with these deals, you’ll be charged the regular subscription price after the first month is over. If you just want to snap this up to grab the free 1,000 Apex Coins, make sure you cancel your subscription before the second month of service begins.
