Fortnite Infinity Gauntlet LTM

Fortnite Infinity Gauntlet LTM could return ahead of Avengers: Endgame according to rumors

Gamers have been hoping for a the return of the Fortnite Infinity Gauntlet LTM, and a recent bout of data mining may have uncovered evidence that The Mad Titan will be making his return at some point in the near future. Thanos, of course, is the penultimate villain in the Avengers films and was featured as a special playable character in Fortnite last year. Now it seems like the Fortnite Infinity Gauntlet LTM may indeed be coming back. It also happens to be perfectly timed with the upcoming release of Avengers: Endgame.

FortniteIntel reports that a tweet from @SkinTrackerCom has reportedly uncovered a single line that hints at the return of Thanos. It certainly makes sense for this game feature to be returning now; after all, Avengers: Endgame is going to be in theaters later in the month of April. Considering the addition of this new line, the odds are good that we’ll be seeing Thanos in Fortnite once again around the time that the next Avengers film releases.

Here’s the line in question:

yielded to the <Sarcasm>POWER of Thanos ( {Killer} )

The Fortnite Infinity Gauntlet LTM mixed up the dynamics of the vanilla battle royale game mode. The Infinity Gauntlet would drop at a random point somewhere on the map a short time after the players airdropped into the game world. The first player to reach the gauntlet would be transformed into Thanos and acquire several powers: A knockback punch that can also destroy structures, a ground pound that causes knockback, a damage-over-time energy blast, and a super-jump that allows Thanos to cover large distances.

While we only have a single line relating to Thanos in this most recent batch of data mining, one must remember that plenty of in-game assets and chat messages already exist from last year’s event. We can’t say for sure why just a single new line has been added, but it has at least achieved the goal of hinting at the return of The Mad Titan. We don’t know exactly when the Fortnite Infinity Gauntlet LTM will be back, but you can catch Avengers: Endgame in theaters on April 26, 2019.
