Rumor: L.A. Noire Dev Team Closing Up Shop

The guys from Team Bondi, the development studio behind L.A. Noire, are reportedly out of a job after having joined forces with Kennedy Miller Mitchell.

Multiple unnamed sources have told MCV that the upcoming 1936 detective thriller titled Whore of the Orient has been shelved because the studio was unable to find a publisher.

In addition, KMM's Doug Mitchell provided an official comment to the outlet, making it clear that they haven't given up on Whore of the Orient despite their failed attempts to garner the necessary funding. "Whore of the Orient is a unique and extraordinary story and game, and we are still actively pursuing the right investor to partner with," he explained.

That said, the fate of KMM's Sydney studio (you know, the group of Team Bondi guys) remains unclear, as no official word has been provided. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if the rumors of its closure prove to be true.
