Star Wars: The Old Republic Premiers New Operation For Massive 2.0 Update

Star Wars: The Old Republic has an expansion ready to attack this week. That isn't all that's coming, though.

The first major update since SWTOR released in 2011 is coming, and it has a trailer to show what's in-store for free players and subscribers. The new Operation called Scum and Villainy is the focus of the new trailer with a couple of the dungeon's total of seven bosses shown for their first time. It's the first raid for the game's new level cap of 55, and will provide a challenge to raiders for the next month or two.

See the trailer below:

Although the trailer only spotlights the new raid dungeon, the update will include much more than just that. In addition to the level cap increase BioWare is adding a new planet, new gear, new features (such as Macrobinoculars and Seeker Droid), and even achievements. It's the largest update yet and will coincide with additions from the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion due on April 14th.

SWTOR's 2.0 update should be out within the next couple days. A full list of patch notes is available on the official site.
