Zynga CEO Volunteers To Cut Own Salary To $1

Believe it or not, Zynga CEO Mark Pincus has volunteered to cut his annual salary down to a mere $1. Before you accuse him of raking in millions in yearly bonsuses, he's asked to be exempt from all bonuses and equity awards.

Why is he doing this? He's cutting his own pay so his officers will not have to have a cut in their pay, and such a drastic reduction should help their plummeting stock prices.

It may be a desperate attempt at turning things around at Zynga, especially after the mass exodus of higher-ups the company has experienced over the last several months. However, this generous gesture coupled along with Zynga's launch of gambling games in the United Kingdom could be enough to get the company back on top.
