A Lady Gaga Cyberpunk 2077 appearance is rumored to be included in the upcoming CD Projekt Red game. Lady Gaga was reportedly recently at the Polish game studio for her upcoming role. The award-winning pop megastar is said to have taken part in a motion capture session for her in-game performance.
The source of the report, Actugaming, is not certain of the singer’s cameo, though they do believe there’s a good chance the singer will play some part in Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk 2077 was recently confirmed for E3 2019 and the same source for states that they believe this may be where Lady Gaga’s inclusion will be announced. Initial rumors about some form of collaboration between CD Projekt Red and the artist-turned-actor emerged late last year. The studio responded to a Lady Gaga tweet from 2012:
Of course! Of course we will!

Lady Gaga has shared her love of video games online before, so her working in the industry in some capacity seems like a natural progression for the adaptable talent. In November of last year, Gaga tweeted “Still playing #Bayonetta middle of chapter XIII and my hands hurt and I have to sleep and it’s 4 In the damn morning but this damn dragon with the fac[t] that I have to kill with my weave. Smh. Give it another go in the morning #gamer respect to the experts I need emotional support.”
The news of Lady Gaga’s cameo has not been confirmed by either party as of yet. There is also no word on how Lady Gaga will be involved in the game, and whether it is a small cameo or she will appear as an interactive NPC.
Cameos in video games are commonplace. However, they often feature characters jumping from genre to genre to give fans something to get a kick out of. Dante, of the recently released Devil May Cry 5, has appeared in a whole range of games across his history including Viewtiful Joe and Project X Zone. While the creators of Mortal Kombat 11 recently teased that Lady Gaga’s favorite character, Bayonetta, may be featured in the brutal fighting game.
