Lest Ye Be Judged, Buy Gears of War Judgment Now!

If there's one thing that the Gears of War series has taught me, it's always make sure the chain is on tight. You don't want to lumber up to an enemy and rev your Lancer only to find your stuff all messed up. Prepare yourself for Gears of War: Judgment and bring plenty of ammunition.

Gears of War: Judgment launched earlier this week and made a splash with new multiplayer modes, new cooperative modes, and Declassified missions. Those put unique spins on classic campaign scenarios, whether a countdown clock urges you through an enemy encampment or only key weapons are made available. If you want to score three stars on every mission in the game's prequel campaign, you'll have to declassify every detail.

If you're a diehard fan, that'll come easy. Whether you love Epic's franchise or not, gamers have to submit to the power of Gears fandom. The series has spread so far and so fast since it was introduced in 2006, it'll be exciting to see where the next-generation Xbox takes Baird, Cole, Marcus, and Anya next. But before we get ahead of ourselves, it's time to revisit the earliest days of the war on Sera with our ol' pal Damon Baird.

Gears of War: Judgment is only available on Xbox 360.
