Jump Force Boruto

Jump Force Boruto and Dragon Quest trailer energizes the roster

The Jump Force Boruto and Dragon Quest trailer has just made the roster of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s upcoming fighting game just a little bit bigger. Two more big-name characters have debuted today, adding to an already impressive roster of manga and video game characters that are beloved around the world. This particular trailer has revealed has introduced us to Boruto Uzumaki of Boruto and Dai of Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai.

Boruto Uzumaki is the star of the Boruto manga and anime. He may look familiar—he is, after all, the son of Naruto protagonist Naruto Uzumaki. While his father certainly had his fair share of troubles at a young age, Boruto has proven himself to be a bit of a prodigy with a particular affinity for lightning techniques. The Jump Force Boruto and Dragon Quest trailer shows the titular protagonist in action alongside Gaara, Kakashi, Shukaku, and penultimate Naruto villain Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

This isn’t the only new magical character coming to the game—the Jump Force Boruto and Dragon Quest trailer also introduces us to Dai of Dragon Quest: The Adventures of DaiDragon Quest is a much more popular series in Japan, so Dai’s addition to the roster is likely to be a fan favorite. The manga and anime series that stars Dai is largely based off of Dragon Quest III, a game that first debuted for the Famicom and NES all the way back in 1988. It just goes to show how long that slime-slaying franchise has been around! Dai is shown in the trailer also fighting against Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, one of the many wonderful crossover possibilities that Jump Force is making a reality.

These new additions round out an already impressive roster for Bandai Namco Entertainment’s upcoming fighting game. You’ll be able to swing swords and lightning blades alike when Jump Force releases to PC and consoles on February 15, 2019.
