A new Gundam game is set to be revealed in just a couple of weeks, but there’s a catch. If you’d like to get your very first look at what this game is going to be, you’re going to need to get another game first. A trailer is going to debut within the free-to-play PS4 game Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2. Thankfully, players will be able to pick up some neat extras if they grab the game and play it during a certain window of time.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 is a free-to-play game on the PS4. It originally popped up in the franchise’s home country of Japan, but an English translation is available so there’s no need to worry about reading the language. You can pick it up from the PlayStation Store. As with most free-to-play games, you should expect there to be premium currency and the like within this title. Players who hop into the game between January 21, 2019, at 5:00 AM EST and January 31, 2019, at 9:59 AM EST will have the opportunity to score some free items. You’ll get a Shooting Upgrade Program LV1, a Hyper Bazooka [Revised] LV1, a GM Kai LV1, and 10,000 DP currency.
If you’re just interested in the trailer, the new Gundam game will debut within Battle Ops 2 on January 21, 2019, at 5:00 AM EST—the same time that the reward period for the bonus goodies starts in this free-to-play title. However, it wouldn’t be a half bad idea to stick around and check out the game. You’ve already downloaded it, so why not take it for a whirl and see what it’s all about?
Those of us who don’t own a PS4 won’t be left out in the cold, though. The full trailer for this new Gundam game will be posted online sometime on January 22, 2019. If you’re a hardcore fan that wants to get a first look, it’d probably be best to get in on Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 if you haven’t already done so.
