PS Plus January 2019 Games Include Steep and Portal Knights

The PS Plus January 2019 games lineup has been revealed, with Steep and Portal Knight both being announced as free games for the month. Zone of the Enders HD CollectionAmplitude, and Fallen Legion are also included in the list, giving PlayStation Plus subscribers a good number of games to look forward to in the New Year.

Steep is a snowboarding game by Ubisoft Annecy, the studio currently working on The Division 2 alongside Massive Entertainment. Though it received a mixed reception upon its release, the game has gone on to achieve a dedicated community with its numerous updates. A Nintendo Switch version was announced back in January 2017, though Ubisoft later revealed that development on this port was brought to an end in order to focus on other projects.

One PS Plus game that did launch on the Switch was Portal Knights, an RPG with a cutesy aesthetic released back in 2016. An accessible survival game for a variety of age ranges, players can craft weapons, upgrade their characters, and battle various monsters in its 3D sandbox.

The 2D action RPG Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion will also make its way to PS Plus, with it able to be downloaded by PS4 and PS Vita owners. 2019 will see the end of Sony offering free PS3 and PS Vita games to its PS Plus subscribers, with the company choosing to focus solely on the PS4. Players will also have until January 1st to download December’s free games, including Soma and Onrush. 

All of January’s free games will be available for PS Plus subscribers to download starting New Year’s Day, January 1st. Check out the PS Plus January 2019 lineup below:
